Introduction
In partnership with Meta and NBC Universal, we brought The Office to life in VR on the Meta Quest 3, using the Meta Horizon platform. No, you won’t be selling paper, but you will have some laughs – and maybe even a few Schrute Bucks to spend.
The brief
We were tasked with creating a virtual experience that captures the awkward, cringe-worthy humor and lovable chaos of The Office, while giving Horizon players a reason to keep coming back.
The solution
By blending nostalgia and innovative gameplay, we delivered an authentic The Office experience that feels like you’ve stepped right into Dunder Mifflin. You can even claim a desk in Scranton and personalize it with toys, trinkets, and office supplies – all bought with Schrute Bucks, of course.
Players step into the quirky world of Dunder Mifflin with mini-games that bring The Office's most chaotic moments to life. Help Kevin navigate an obstacle course with his infamous pot of chili in "Chili-Thon" or save the day by catching bats in Dwight's "Bats, Bats, Bats" before Jim calls animal control. You can test your trivia skills with "Dwight's Trivia" for a shot at becoming Assistant to the Regional Manager, or dodge freezing traps while playing "Belsnickle Tag." For those craving a challenge, there's even an office parkour game where you can leap across desks in true Michael Scott style.
Whether you’re taking part in playful activities that capture the show's humor or participating in mini-games inspired by legendary scenes (hello, stapler in Jell-O), there’s plenty for fans to discover. Welcome to the future… of paper sales. Or something like that.
The impact
Fans of The Office can relive iconic moments and explore the Dunder Mifflin office like never before. By blending the show’s signature humor with fresh, interactive content – from Schrute Bucks to role-playing as Pam at reception – we created an experience that kept fans coming back faster than Michael could yell "Conference room, five minutes!"
Thanks to our partners Media Monks, Albyon, and ARVORE. Together, we were as unstoppable as Dwight on sales duty (without needing a bobblehead for motivation).
